The Department’s State Significant Rezoning Policy has been updated. 

A broader range of sites are now eligible, including those that support Housing Delivery Authority opportunities, Renewable Energy Zones and post-mining land reuse.

These changes provide the Government with a diverse rezoning pipeline to help it deliver on its National Housing Accord commitment of 377,000 new homes by 2029.
